A 20-YEAR-OLD Zimbabwean man Harold Muzeremwi was stabbed to death at a party in south-east London on Saturday afternoon.
Muzeremwi and a 24-year-old man were stabbed in a flat in Kingsley Wood Drive, Mottingham, at around 3pm on Saturday and were taken to a south London hospital where the latter remains in a serious, but stable condition.
A post-mortem examination took place at Greenwich Mortuary on Sunday and gave the cause of death as a stab wound.
Police on Monday charged a 26-year-old man with the murder of Muzeremwi and the attempted murder of another man.
Delaney Barnett of Baring Road Grove Park appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday to answer the charges.
Muzeremwi, who was also known as Haych and named locally as Harold Blacks, was stabbed at the flat.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but they could not save him and he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
Muzeremwi, who was staying with his mother, was studying law and business studies at Bexley College and had a promising football career. Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons of the Metropolitan Police described him as “an immaculate individual of good character.

Meanwhile, the MP for the area Clive Efford, where the double stabbing left Muzeremwi dead and another man seriously injured, sent his condolences to the families.
“Muzeremwi’s death is a tragedy caused by a mindless act of violence. My thoughts are with his family at this very distressing time,” Efford said.
“The second as yet unnamed victim is described as stable in hospital and again my thoughts are with him and his family hoping he makes a full recovery.” –ITV.com
