Bhekimpilo Mhlanga (26) of Dandanda area in Lupane was not asked to plead to murder charges when he appeared before Lupane magistrate Takudzwa Gwazemba.

The magistrate remanded him in custody to October 26.

Prosecutor Sanders Sibanda told the court that on October 15 this year, Mhlanga was aboard the bus together with the now deceased Nkosilathi Ncube.

The two reportedly had a misunderstanding over a memory card. Mhlanga then kicked Ncube on the groin at the same time pushing him out of the moving bus.

Ncube sustained serious injuries and was taken to Dandanda Clinic on a scotchcart. He died the following day.

A medical report showed that Ncube died as a result of injuries he sustained when he fell off the bus.
