WOMEN from the Johane Masowe Echishanu Jerusarema-Bhesidha say they are endorsing the decision to allow President Emmerson Mnangagwa to rule beyond 2028.
The women, who are currently gathered at the church’s shrine in Nhamoyebonde village in Guruve for the annual Jorodhani pilgrimage, said Mnangagwa has brought meaningful development to the country and uplifting the lives of the people, hence he should be allowed to continue leading.
Recently, they were pictured holding placards inscribed “2030 ndeyaEmmerson”.
In videos that have since gone viral on social medial, the women also showered praises on businessman Wicknell Chivayo for his philanthropic work, especially towards the apostolic sect.
Johane Masowe Echishanu Jerusarema Bhesidha leader Echoes Chiore, popularly known as Madzibaba Echoes, also rallied behind the ED2030 bid.
“The women from our sect are just sending a message, supporting the move to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s tenure to 2030,” he said.
“President Mnangagwa has done a lot for the country and its people and we are saying , as an apostolic sect, let us give him more time to work and continue to uplift the lives of the people.
“We are also grateful to philanthropist Wicknell Chivayo for uplifting the lives of many Zimbabweans including apostolic sect leaders and members through his generosity.”
