Mnangagwa called on Zimbabweans to work on building a strong country characterised by unity, peace and shared prosperity.

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday led Zimbabwe in the Presidential National Day of Prayer calling on fellow nationals to maintain peace.

In his address at the event at State House held under the theme A quest for God’s help in nation-building, Mnangagwa said the prevailing peaceful environment should be maintained.

“Similarly, our prayer points must continue to revolve around consolidating, safeguarding and fervently preserving the prevailing peace, love and unity in our nation,” he said.

Mnangagwa called on Zimbabweans to work on building a strong country characterised by unity, peace and shared prosperity.

“The task that lies ahead is for us all to consolidate these gains. Both our rural and urban communities must be urged to work harder in their respective areas for increased production and productivity,” he said.

“The Almighty God has helped us to build our motherland with our local resources; this includes the construction of dams, roads, clinics, schools and all other forms of emerging infrastructure across provinces.”

On the political and governance front, Mnangagwa said the prevailing peaceful and tranquil environment in communities was an inspiring answer to prayers.
