Party lovers can this week brace themselves for the “Winter Shut Down Miller Party” with United States-based Zimbabwean DJ and producer, Abra Simzz at the Fusion Cafe in the capital.
The event will be themed “Turn up the Night”. Miller parties have become popular internationally and in other African countries like South Africa and Uganda where Miller Draft beer is popular.
“We decided to feature one of Zimbabwe’s top DJs and producers at one of our monthly Miller promotional parties to also promote local talent instead of always inviting DJs from other countries,” said Miller brand ambassador, Chuckie Ayisha.
He said Simzz (real name Simukai Mandizvidza) had become a household name as he had raised the country’s flag high through his various productions like Voicemail featuring Jusa Dementor and the popular Rise up Zimbabwe that was done by internationally acclaimed ragga artiste, Red Rat.
Ayisha said the event would also feature other local up and coming DJs including Dee Nosh, L-Roy, KB and Vee who would all have a platform to exhibit their expertise.
“Our doors will be open from 8pm on Friday (tomorrow) and we will only close them when people turn black and gold,” he said.
He said people at the party would get an opportunity to sample the brand that will be given out for free although other alcohol brands would be on sale.
Ayisha said Miller Draft beer was an American brand that is increasingly becoming popular in Africa.
