AWARD-WINNING South African Afro-soul sensation Amanda Black headlines the second edition of Zimbabwe’s premier luxury lifestyle gathering, The Sunday Service themed Winter Solstice Picnic and Sundowners set for Sunday at The Art Farm in Harare.

Born Amanda Benedicta Antony in the Eastern Cape, the Mzansi songbird is a platinum-selling singer whose emotionally-charged performances and powerful vocals have earned her a loyal following across Africa.

At the concert, Amanda Black will share the stage with a multi-generational line-up of performers who include veteran jazz crooner Tanga Wekwa Sando, renowned for his timeless township jazz and groove.

They will be joined by acclaimed guitarist Sylent Nqo, talented vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Tina Watyoka, premium vibes curators DJ Andile and the Royal DJs.

Following a successful debut, the event organisers said the second edition of the Winter Solstice was set to raise the bar, as a unique blend of soulful music, fashion, outdoor culture and family-friendly entertainment.

“The Sunday Service is more than an event, it is a curated lifestyle ritual. With the Winter Solstice edition, we are leaning into rich, cosy, premium aesthetics and music that hits deep in the soul,” noted the event organisers.

The organisers noted that this edition has been carefully curated to create a sanctuary of soulful sounds, meaningful connections, and premium outdoor experiences for discerning audiences seeking more than just a music show.

“Bringing together legends like Tanga Wekwa Sando and contemporary giants like Amanda Black at a gorgeous venue like The Art Farm creates a completely unique canvas for Harare’s elite to connect, dress up and celebrate life.”

The organisers noted that beyond the music, attendees can expect picturesque picnic settings, sip-and-paint experiences beginning at midday, and a family-friendly environment that caters for both adults and children.

“The event has been meticulously designed for young hearts with old souls, tastemakers and discerning lifestyles connoisseurs offering golden-hour experiences and carefully curated lifestyle activations that blend entertainment with elegance.”

Adding to the allure is an exclusive dress code, all shades of chocolate, encouraging guests to showcase high fashion statements, picnic chic outwear, earth tones and sun-kissed elegance.

The organisers believe the theme complements the music and the scenic surroundings of the venue.

Interest in the event has already been significant, with the organisers confirming that early bird tickets were sold out well ahead of the event.

The organisers have also noted that the attendees are allowed cooler boxes before 4pm at US$5 per box.

“To maintain an exclusive, high comfort and secure environment, tickets are strictly tiered, with early bird tickets already sold out.”

The second phase, advanced general admission tickets, are currently available at US$20, while at the gate, attendees will have to fork out US$30.

For the VIP advanced tickets, merrymakers have to part with US$50 and US$100 at the gate.

With a powerful blend of nostalgia, soul, fashion and culture, Sunday’s Winter Solstice edition is shaping up to be one of the season’s standout social events.
