THE Beitbridge community made a request and it has been granted.

Zimdancehall president Winky D and jiti musician Baba Harare will on June 1 perform in the border town’s buzzing leisure spot, Pagomba Cafe.

This will be the first time in years since the Gafa joined the party in Beitbridge while Baba Harare will be uniting with his fans who he last saw at the venue’s reopening early this year after being taken over by current proprietor Tapiwa “Gandz” Gandiwa.

Macriss is also part of the lineup that is expected to draw a full house.

Social media groups from the border town have been awash with requests for the services of Winky D after Jah Prayzah and Alick Macheso brought fireworks in previous gigs.

Hosted by The Edutainer, the decks will be taken care of by DJ Vic Gee, DJ Tanana, DJ Keitho, SJ Ayaxx and MC Kay One.

Palace Hotel entertainment publicist DJ Keitho said the show came after patrons publicly declared their love for the billed artistes.

“Our patrons showed interest in the artistes that we are bringing at the start of next month. They went on to form a group to mobilise funds and we saw that this is what they need. This is a lineup that is going to light up Beitbridge,” said DJ Keitho.
