GATES opened at 1400 hours on Sunday for those who wanted to party and have fun as a family at the Cook Out ZW held at Longcheng Plaza in Belvedere, Harare.

The event was courtesy of African Distillers (Afdis), one of the country’s producers of alcoholic beverages, primarily distilled spirits and wines.

Four lucky merrymakers drove away brand Nissan Magnet vehicles at the event for the Hunters competition that ran from the beginning of November last year up to the end of January.

To enter the competition, a person had to buy a Hunters cider and check whether the bottle cap was written that they had won a car or not.

It was a day to remember for the four winners Lindy Nyamadzawo, Sikhangezile Ganda, Chidochaishe Gowera and Stephen Tendai Manjoro as they were handed over their car keys.

Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Afdis marketing manager Donna Marowa said the competition was going to be an annual event.

“Whether or not we give cars I am not sure, but the competition will definitely be something significant and life changing, it could be something as big as houses,” she said.

“This was purely a Hunter’s promotion sponsored fully by Afdis, but Croco Motors came through and availed cars we purchased. It has been very supportive from the beginning of the promotion till now.”

Merrymakers were entertained by Travellers Band, Mc Mocla, Kimzw, Mc Tats, Voltz JT and Andile Brown, among others.
