MADDISON Christopolous was crowned Baby Santa at a competition held on Saturday at FazakAfrika in Selborne Park, Bulawayo.

The event saw children from various backgrounds battling it out across four different age groups, with toddler Maddison claiming best prize in the three-to-five-year-olds age group as well as the overall Baby Santa main prize.

FazakAfrika spokesperson Kylie Mazura said she was pleased with the turnout.

“We had people from various parts of the city, every unique child, taking part and had a memorable time. In the end it was not just about the babies, but about the whole community gathering and letting our hair down and breathe. We always strive to engage our people at a personal level so that we can all navigate through life’s hardships with a bit of a smile and today’s successful event was testimony to that,” Mazura said.

Mazura said the Baby Santa competition ushered in the festive season for them.

“It is the season to be jolly and catch up with our loved ones, so we thought what better way to kickstart it? I would like to congratulate every baby and parent who took part in the competition. More is coming in future,” Mazura said.

The event was hosted by Skyz Metro FM presenter Khayelihle Moyo and graced by models Miyamiko Banda, Zara Essats, Taffielyn Sibanda, renowned make-up artist René Sickel and media personality Samantha Tshuma, who was one of the adjudicators.
