IT was a night of glitz and glamour at this year’s edition of the Pan African lifestyle and cross-networking event, The PiChani.

The event was held in Bulawayo over the weekend and was curated by founder and creative director of Paper Bag Africa, Gilmore Qhawe Khumalo, popularly known as Gilmore Tee in the creative industry.

It was a fashion, lifestyle and networking event which sought to unite young businesspeople and achievers from different fields of interest in Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Since Sunday, Twitter and Instagram have been flooded with pictures from the event.

The pictures circulating on social media show that, indeed, it was a high-class gathering as evidenced by the glamourous outfits worn at the event.

Running under the theme Spring to Life, the glamourous third edition of the event featured some of the region’s lifestyle and social media icons.

Africa’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazine, Glamour Magazine editor-in-chief Nontando Mposo attended the event, alongside former Miss Zimbabwe Samantha Tshuma, local radio personality and influencer Misred and South African award-winning content creator and Forbes Under 30 alumni Mihlali Ndamase.

Also, in attendance were other notable individuals in the fashion, music and arts industries.

The PiChani featured a fashion show by Zimbabwean award-winning designer Haus of Stone and a live mannequin exhibition by Bulawayo-based top visual artist Neville Starling.

This year’s edition appears to have won hearts of many with its various fashion designs, which were primarily in black.

Several social media users who enjoyed the classic events noted that The PiChani gala was the show not to be missed.

In reference to the guests who attended the event, local content developer and fitness instructor Michelina Chindiya, popularly known as Miss Chindiya, tweeted: “Everyone, I mean everyone understood the assignment.”

“The PiChani is still the most and best exclusive event in Bulawayo. Leyi phela gets people in their feelings the whole time. #ThePiChani,” Nigel Ndlovu wrote on Twitter.
