PAN-African human capital advisory firm, Africa People Advisory Group, has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Minerva Risk Advisors (Minerva) in Zimbabwe.

Minerva is the preferred choice in risk management, insurance, reinsurance and pensions in Zimbabwe and has been in operation since 1947. Minerva’s stronghold in the local market, with 80% of Zimbabwe Stock Exchange-listed companies (in terms of market capitalisation) makes it an ideal strategic partner for Africa People Advisory Group.

Africa People Advisory Group (APAG) is an advisory firm that unlocks business growth through people insights while serving clients through nurturing long-term relationships, understanding local context and placing people at the heart of the business.

APAG provides a range of human resource solutions focused on rewards, organisational effectiveness and talent management. They recently launched a flagship compensation survey in Zimbabwe focused on the financial services industry and are currently exploring a similar solution for other sectors in the economy.

Through these and other initiatives, APAG will help local organisations use their people data to drive insights and ultimately unlock business growth.

The partnership will provide the Zimbabwean market with access to a suite of human resource solutions that covers all aspects of the employee life cycle and will assist organisations in enhancing the employee experience.

“Zimbabwe is a key market for us. Being able to partner with Minerva is a key step in our journey to grow locally. We have been tracking the success that Minerva has achieved, and we are excited to be partnering with such a strong brand in Zimbabwe. We are both people – centred organisations that are driven by a common purpose: to make an impact on the success of organisations through people,” said Deon de Swardt, managing partner of APAG, commenting on the partnership.

The managing director of Minerva, Lydia Tanyanyiwa said: “Our mission is to transform organisational performance through people development. As a partner of Africa People Advisory Group in Zimbabwe, we are well poised and committed to strengthening and expanding the provision of leading organisational solutions to all sectors in Zimbabwe. The partnership further extends our capacity to meet demands and enhance bespoke change solutions for our valued clients.”
