BY MAGRETH RUZVIDZO THE Zim Women Roar 2021 edition will be held today at the Meikles Hotel to celebrate women achievers in various fields and create a platform where they can network.
Zim Women Roar was launched in 2017.
In an interview with NewsDay, eN Media director Emily Nemapare highlighted that this platform was not a once-off event, but an ongoing process to appreciate women in their various fields.
“We want to achieve a culture of celebration and recognition and through that recognition, you find out that as women, when we start networking and getting together, the potential that we have is incredible,” she said.
“We believe that there are a lot of women who are probably featured elsewhere outside the country about what they are doing in Zimbabwe and what they are contributing to the Zimbabwean economy. But back home, we don’t even know that such women exist until they become big names.”
