HSTV, the digital radio and television station owned by Alpha Media Holdings has partnered with DStv, for a franchised series, “Meet The CEO Global,” to be broadcast on the direct broadcast satellite service’s Mindset Channel 319 every Saturday and Sunday.

Founder and executive producer of Meet The CEO franchise, Ian Venganai of Universal (PTY) LTD said the show, to be hosted by award-winning presenter, Rutendorwashe Mutsamwira, will be profiling captains of industry and heads of companies or institutions.

Venganai said it was high time Zimbabweans told their stories and preserve truths for future generations, adding that the show focused more on the inspirational human story.

“If you go to the history channel, you will learn about Ford, Kellog, JP Morgan, Ferrari’s of this world who revolutionised industries and economies over 100 years ago, but no one will tell our stories of what we invented or revolutionised in history,” he said.

“As the demand for more home-grown productions and content continues to rise, the role of intercontinental storytelling is important in increasing visibility and synergies across industries, organisations and individuals.”

Venganai said he was proud to have built the television franchise that has travelled across the continent networking and celebrating industry leaders, game-changers and innovators.

“Meet The CEO Global idea might seem simple now, but we need to document and share stories of those whom our children will aspire to be. To bringing the franchise to Heart and Soul is paying homage to my own history with the AMH group and sharing that legacy with DStv, OpenView and StarSat viewers,” he said.

“Each episode is a conversational journey from where they were born, school days, humble beginnings, the challenges, product offering and the big break. The show celebrates their achievements and also touches on issues of accountability while rising against all odds.”

Mutsamwira said it was an honour to represent Zimbabwe on this platform, adding that she was not taking such an opportunity lightly.

“It feels so good to be back home with my AMH family who allowed me to grow, experiment and find my authentic voice in broadcasting. I am incredibly excited to both learn from and share the heart stories of the world’s thought leaders, influencers and community shapers,” she said.

“Now more than ever, we have an opportunity to both share, archive and curate the legacies of men and women whose determination, creativity and problem-solving capacity continues to make an impact in the world.

“My hope is to inspire both our guests and audiences to have more meaningful conversations and ask themselves the right, yet sometimes uncomfortable questions they need to answer for them to become and remain the best versions of themselves.”

The show will also be broadcast on Mindset on StarSat 309, Mindset on Open View HD 134, Mindset on Africa XP, NewsDay Zimbabwe and Heart and Soul Broadcasting Services Facebook pages.

The Meet The CEO franchises are aired on MTC Zimbabwe hosted by Thandi Miranda, MTC South Africa hosted by Nyasha Grace, MTC Botswana hosted by Sapphire, MTC Zambia hosted by Muna Lukonga, MTC East Africa hosted by Michael Mwasha.
