Tanzanian star, Diamond Platnumz stages his maiden performance in the country at the Harare International Conference Centre courtesy of 2 Kings Entertainment tomorrow night.

The concert, dubbed Watora Mari, will see Platnumz sharing the stage with high-flying contemporary musician, Jah Prayzah, with whom he collaborated on the song Watora Mari off Jah Prayzah’s Mdara Vachauya album.

Among the top supporting acts at the concert are dancehall sensation Killer T, Stunner, Trevor D and popular sound Judgment Yard.

City Sports Centre

Jamaican dancehall artiste, Dwayno tomorrow stages his maiden performance in Zimbabwe, headlining the Zimbabwe-Jamaica Youth Festival at City Sports Centre in Harare.

At the concert, the Don A Road hitmaker, who will be in the country courtesy of Royal Unlimited Expression, will share the stage with local dancehall chanters Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Kinnah, Guspy Warrior, with whom he has a collaboration, Ras Caleb and Hwindi President and top wheelspinners and emcees, among them Smylie, Abisha Palmer, Regoman, Fyah Linx, Levels and Fantan.

Zimbali Gardens

It’s a double delight for Orchestra Dendera Kings frontman Sulumani Chimbetu, who ties the knot with wife, Linda Samuriwo, at Zimbali Gardens in Greendale.

The wedding, which was initially set for the giant National Sports Stadium, will coincide with Sulu’s double album launch on the same day at Belgravia Sports Club in Harare, where he will be joined by his fans for an after-party and later launches the much-awaited sixth album titled Jamboree and another contemporary one called Havasi Kutiziva.

The album, Jamboree, was recorded and produced by veteran artiste-cum-producer, Clive “Mono” Mukundu and Oscar Chamba.

7 Arts Theatre, Avondale

7 Arts Theatre in Avondale tomorrow hosts the Davinci Arts Festival Genesis, featuring several art forms that include a dance battle, a deejay battle, an emcee battle, beat boxing digital art and modelling (Miss Davinci).

Alliance Francaise, Harare

Multi award-winning Afro-fusion group, Mokoomba are back in the country after successful tours of North America and Europe and the well-travelled group will stage their first performance after the tour tonight at Old Mutual Theater at Alliance Francaise in Harare.

Dandaro Inn

Afro-jazz musician, Alexio Kawara, supported by his Shades of Black tonight shares the stage with Mbeu, backed by his Mhodzi Tribe at Dandaro Inn, Harare Showgrounds.

Popular upmarket club, Pabloz VIP Lounge, located at Borrowdale’s Sam Levy’s Village in Harare, tonight hosts the “Royal Fridays” that will see popular wheelspinners DJ AM and DJ Juice taking turns to rock it on the turntables.

Planet Yolo, Joina City

Rising musician, Best Masinire tonight presents his fans with an early Christmas present, as he launches his latest Singles album at Planet Yolo (third floor) Joina City in Harare.

Popular gospel musician, Nyasha Mutonhori will be the guest artiste at the launch to be graced by supporting artistes J Soldier, Simba EJay, Blessmore Chiwere and Beatrice Kwinnie Matewere National Gallery of Zimbabwe

The National Gallery of Zimbabwe tonight host the maiden First Fridays concert, where visual and performing artistes meet.

The First Friday’s initiative seeks to present alternative music in the gallery atmosphere and create a space for art and music lovers to experience an evening of diverse genres of music in the museum set-up.

The Monkey Nuts and Sam Mabukwa, of Ngosimbi Crew, will take turns to entertain guests.

Bulawayo Theatre

Rising playwright-cum-actor Vusumuzi Twala’s play titled My Dream premieres tomorrow at Bulawayo Theatre courtesy of a partnership between Theatre for Everyone and Alliance Francaise.

The play, directed by Zenzo Nyathi, is an intriguing story that exposes how the spiritual world can be bigger and more powerful than a person, such that it can sometimes control them against their will.
