France has declared a national state of emergency and tightened borders after at least 120 people were killed in a night of gun and bomb attacks in Paris.

Eighty people were reported killed after gunmen burst into the Bataclan concert hall and took dozens hostage.

The siege ended when security forces stormed the building.

People were shot dead at bars and restaurants at five other sites in Paris. Eight attackers were later reported killed.

Police believed all of the gunmen were dead but it was unclear if any accomplices were still on the run after the string of near-simultaneous attacks.

Paris residents have been asked to stay indoors and about 1,500 military personnel are being deployed across the city.

The gunmen’s motives were not immediately confirmed, but one witness at the Bataclan heard one of the attackers appear to express support for the militant Islamic State (IS) group.

“It’s Hollande’s fault, he shouldn’t have intervened in Syria!” the man shouted, according to French news agency AFP, citing the French president’s decision to take part in Western air strikes on IS.

Paris saw three days of attacks in early January, when Islamist gunmen murdered 18 people, attacking satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, a Jewish supermarket and a policewoman on patrol.

  1. …on the other hand childless german leader is letting hundreds of thousands a month of muslim syrians into the country whose women give birth six times in their lifetime compared to 1.5 of their now german counterparts

  2. This must be the most callous assault on innocent civilians since the 9/11 attack on those towers in New York. This has to be condemned and nipped in the gut and FAST…Of course the massive failure by the intelligence services in France is also cause for analysis..Surely they might not have been able to stop the attacks but they could have reduced the scale. This comes when we have not yet dried our cheeks on the 800 migrants who drowned in the Mediterranean. Might it not be opportune time the EU and other global leaders revisited their foreign policy? You have to look how dictators and thieves are feted and allowed to open bank accounts and buy real estate in Europe while their citizens die of preventable stone age causes like hunger and disease..And to further insult these people who are forced to drown in the Mediterranean the collective leadership of the EU pledge 2 billion euro which will be adminstered by the same thieves who are the authors of same mass murders in the ‘lake’ and today in Paris? I stand corrected but the EU foreign policy has to stop hobnobbing with third world mass killers and stop looking the other way when these brutes kill their own people..Next station is what we are seeing in Paris now. Look Hitler was doing the same to jews in the 1930s while Europe looked the other way..They only woke up when the bastard invaded Poland..So the EU should go after the dictators where ever they may be on earth..This nonsense about non interference in domestic affairs is the cover this brutes are currently using to excuse their blood thirst! STOP THEM NOW!

  5. You give a bed-sheet wearing muslim a gun, what do u think he is going to do??……..he is going to shoot someone, these are the fruits that the western countries are reaping from funding, supporting and arming thousands of of goat and camel fucking terrorists in the middle-east…..the lesson learnt here is that if it wears a bed sheet and it ties a tea-cloth around its head…….then please, by all means do not give it a gun…….coz it will come back to Europe and the US and shoot down your own pple……so its best to leave it in the desert were it can continue practising its false religion, molest goats and camels
