While some might argue that it’s still too early to call with 19 games still to play, current statistics show that it is theirs to lose.

They are unbeaten so far in the season with 10 wins and five draws, and have opened a clear gap between themselves and rejuvenated ZRP Football Club who are a distant second.

Tomorrow, they host 12th placed Darwin United in a match they are expected to easily win and put more pressure on the trailing teams.

However, they would be aware that it is these strugglers that could put spanners in the works if last week’s results are anything to go by.

The high fliers dropped two crucial points away at middle table team Lake Harvest in a 1-1 draw.
