Dubbed the Book Café Craft Fair the event will have artefacts, literature, local music CDs and traditional food on display and sale — complemented by live traditional music. Book Cafe Arts coordinator Joan Wangedi said over 40 exhibitors had come on board courtesy of Zaaca.
She said the venue would be transformed to accommodate stands for craftwork and a platform for live music performance.
“We have designed the craft fair to be a conducive environment for the whole family to have fun while providing a befitting platform for Christmas shopping,” said Wangedi. The Book Cafe Craft Fair firmly embeds the material culture of Zimbabwe into the Book Café’s scope of arts coverage.
