“I have no problems with anyone, but can you imagine I have had two days in the same clothes,” Connor said yesterday.

“I have not been able to access my belongings after I was locked out. They should have made it clear to me that they won’t be paying for my accommodation from the first of October or whatever time. I could have looked for alternative accommodation. But my experience with Caps United is that they have not been professional.

“I was made to believe that they are the most professional club in the country. But I am happy today I have collected my belongings and will be staying with my agent. I can only plan on what to do next after finalising issues with Caps United. The matter is now with the lawyers because we were too far apart with United on what was due to me.”

Connor also said although he was disappointed with the way he had been treated by Caps United, he had been well-received by the fans and that he was still comfortable talking to them now.

“Look, I am a football coach and came here to coach, but am disappointed with this conduct by Caps United,” he added.

The Northern Irish man has been staying at the lodge while waiting the finalisation of the matter with his former employers after he sued them for$122 000 for breach of contract. He was dismissed as Caps coach in August following a defeat to Hwange.

He had signed a two-year deal in January to be reviewed every year with the next renewal due at the end of the current campaign in December. He believes his dismissal was unprocedural and unilateral.

He was on a monthly salary of $4 000 and was guaranteed $400 winning bonus.

He is reported to have compromised on his salary, as he had agreed with the club management that he would get 10% of transfer fees for facilitating transfer of any of the players to Europe.
