Former Zimbabwe Under-19 cricket team fast bowler Glenn Querl starred with ball and bat to help his English side Unicorns pull off their first win of the Clydesdale Bank 40 season after beating Kent by four wickets with an over to spare at Canterbury.
Querl helped Matabeleland Tuskers defend their Logan Cup title after finishing as the highest wicket taker in the tournament with 45 scalps in seven matches at an average of 12,86. The 24-year-old right-arm medium-fast bowler seems to have continued with his impressive form in England.
On Sunday, he followed up best figures of four for 41 runs in eight overs with an unbeaten 24 from 21 balls to see his side to victory in the Group C clash.
Having played out a maiden from Matt Coles to leave the Unicorns needing 33 from four overs, he went on to hit four boundaries in seven balls to make Kent pay for a self-destructive batting effort.
