FREE STATE — Bloemfontein Celtic will be out to do a double over Orlando Pirates at the Free State Stadium this season when they host the defending Telkom Knockout Champions in the quarter-finals Sunday afternoon.

The “Phunya Sele Sele” were smiling when they saw their name pegged alongside Pirates in the Telkom Knockout quarter-final round.
Playing against the “Buccaneers” brought back warm memories for Clinton Larsen’s men, having seen them take three points off Pirates in a South Africa Premiership win in early October this year and Thabo Nthethe believes another victory is possible.
“We definitely think it can happen again. We just have to oppose them,” he says. “It all depends on us and how we do on the day. We want to go further than this round. It is going to be a tough game because they are the defending Champions, but we are ready. We know what to do and we know they are a tough opponent.”
“A win can also help us have a good rest of the season.”
However, Celtic have had to deal with their own hiccups along the way when they fell to a home defeat to AmaTuks in their previous Premiership encounter.
“It was a disappointment to lose (to Tuks) and it was an important game,” the defender added.
