BY TATENDA KUNAKA IN an effort to increase their audience, Redemption Tidings a Chitungwiza-based a cappella group has collaborated with South African songstress Xoliswa Ntsilatana on Ane Hanya, their latest album.

The 14-track album, which becomes the group’s third production, will be launched tomorrow at Harare City Centre Church.

Ntsilatana is featured on the song titled Does Jesus Care?

Redemption Tidings chairperson Phillip Chikunda urged gospel music fans to come in their numbers to the launch ceremony which is free of charge.

“We are happy to be launching our latest album composed in both English and vernacular languages.

“The album was produced in Cape Town, South Africa by Zimbabwean music producer Paul Kumiria of PanaAfro Music,” he said.

“We are inviting music lovers to come and join us as we launch the album on Saturday (tomorrow). We will be supported by Focus Acapella group from Bulawayo and Behold Music from Gweru.”

Some of the tracks on the album include Ningene, Nguva Yapera, Far From Grace and the title track Ane Hanya.

The 15-member group (eight females and seven males) was formed in 1991 and its members are based in Chitungwiza.

“Funding has been a problem to produce albums regularly.

“Our first album titled Ndoenda NaJesu was produced in 2000, with our second Get Ready being released in 2018,” he said.

“We are hoping that starting from this year going forward we will be able to release an album annually.”
