Mr and Ms Novice 2016 has 5 bodybuilding and fitness divisions, 6 powerlifting divisions and 2 strength and Fitness challenge divisions.
Bodybuilding and fitness have senior men bodybuilding, junior men under 21 bodybuilding, Men’s fitness, Women figure fitness and wheelchair men bodybuilding.
The event started with Powerlifting has bench press, squats and deadlifts for both men and women. At this year’s extravaganza there were 8 provinces which participated and these are Mash west, Mash East, Mash Central, Manicaland, Masvingo, Midlands, Bulawayo and Harare.

Midlands continue to dominate senior men bodybuilding as from the results of the event senior men titles for the 3 National shows are with Midlands’s sons, Champion and Muchineripi.
Speaking to the National Federation of Bodybuilding in Zimbabwe Quiet Shangai said the event was awesome, participation was excellent in terms of athletes, audience and partners, the mere fact that our affiliate, ZRP brought many good athletes and also that a Gweru man won senior men while Bulawayo won the women fitness and Zvishavane did well in wheelchair bodybuilding proves that it was a national event. Furthermore Masvingo did not disappoint.
Partners came in their numbers ie Savanna Pharmaceuticals, 1+ 1, Longcheng cafe, Kingsport investments and Simba Chikoore.
It was indeed a great show. The quality of athletes who participated also shows that as a system we are on the right path.
