A 48-year-old diabetic patient and double amputee from Bulawayo is appealing for a wheelchair from well-wishers, including money to buy drugs.
Magret Mwale(48) of number 5, Blanhar, Montgomery in Bulawayo, told Southern Eye last week that she was seeking assistance to clear her medical bills. She said she was not gainfully employed.
“I am appealing to well-wishers to donate a wheelchair and cash so I can buy medicine and be able to foot my hospital bills amounting to ZWL$2 000.
“Both my legs were amputated this year. I spend most time in bed and have difficulties accessing the toilet since I do not have a wheelchair. The wheelchair donated by another well-wisher is too high and does not have breaks,’’ Mwale said. Mwale was diagnosed with diabetes in 2015.
