The rare show will see patrons at the bar enjoying a live performance during lunch on a Friday for the first time.

City Sports Bar proprietor Biggie Chinoperekwei said they had come up with the unique event to assist Chimbetu take his album to the people.

“He has decided to do things differently and we embraced his idea,” said Chinoperekwei.

“We have never done a lunchtime music show at the bar and we are hopeful our patrons will like the idea. We encourage people to come early because the performance will only last for an hour. We support unique ideas and this is one of such initiatives.” Chimbetu’s manager Nyasha Mugari said the show mainly targets their fans that do not have time to attend evening shows.

“We have many fans that cannot come to our evening shows for several reasons and we are making this event special for them,” said Mugari.

“We have done family shows for such people, but we have decided to give them a special moment as they take time off their busy schedules to attend the show. It will be a brief entertaining event to relieve our fans of their workloads.

“We will mainly play music from our new album that is proving popular since its release last week.”
