Dube, who sustained head injuries reported the case at Machipisa Police Station and a docket with reference number RRB 2030442 was opened.
One of the guards was arrested while another was whisked away by his superiors as fans were baying for his blood.
Dube, who doubles as the sound engineer for Utakataka Express was trying to gain entry into the venue in preparation for their performance.
Despite identifying himself as Utakataka Express manager, the security guards did not allow him in, instead they felt he was being troublesome and attacked him. “I am surprised that seeking entry via the VIP section could turn that nasty,” said Dube.
“The security guards were violent even though I identified myself as Utakataka Express manager, they did not listen.”
