Haja Madagascar, a musician and dancer from Madagascar, is set to share the Book Café stage with artistes like Jam Signal and Victor Kunonga. The show will be opened by a debut Harare performance by a Bulawayo-based band Itribe.
South Africa-based Josh Meck along with drummer Blessing Mparutsa are billed to make up Haja’s band tonight in a collaboration called Afro Trance Groove.
Haja urged revellers not to miss the show as there is a unique feel behind it. “Please do not miss this quite unique opportunity to experiment and enjoy the Afro-Trans-Groove music brought to you by three distinctive musicians and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do on stage.”
Jam Signal and Kunonga are expected to maintain the status quo of collaborations as they will collaborate for a performance as well, definitely a common sight following their previous collaboration at the same venue a week ago under the Summer Jam shows hosted every Tuesday night.
A cultural melting pot is guaranteed from tonight’s show following the versatility and diversity of the artistes billed to perform.
Osborne Matengenzara, saxophonist for Jam Signal, said: “We are thrilled and excited to be collaborating with Victor Kunonga again, we are confident that it will be a breathtaking experience.”
