“The Sunday show is a must-attend for all dendera and Afro-jazz lovers as we will belting them out to their satisfaction. I will be backed by jazz sensation Myrah Dube who I believe will take many music lovers by surprise and having had an opportunity to see her perform and attend one of their rehearsals this week I am certain our show will be superb,” he said.

Dr Nero, as Tryson is fondly known by his fans, revealed that he is on a drive to take his music to all sections of the Zimbabwean market.

“I realise I have been starving music lovers of my act particularly in the upmarket venues and this move is aimed at taking my act to the people,” he said.

Dube whose album Introducing Myrah is making a big claim on the music scene, said she was all geared for the Sunday gig.

“I am really happy with the strides I am making and special mention goes to Tryson Chimbetu for enlisting me for this show. I have also had other offers from big musicians for joint shows and it’s quite encouraging. It will be a dendera-jazz affair this Sunday and I am hoping people will come in their numbers to support us. We have a surprise package for them,” she said.

Judith Mahati, the proprietor of The Avon, an entertainment and food joint in Avondale, said they were ready to host the event.
