BULAWAYO, May 27 (NewsDay Live)-The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) has warned of a systems disruption due to a scheduled Electronic Government Procurement (eGP) System upgrade and maintenance from Thursday to Saturday this week.
In a statement, PRAZ said all tenders originally scheduled to close during the affected days (28-30 May 2026) will be moved to a later date.
“Electronic Government Procurement eGP System will be temporarily unavailable for a scheduled upgrade and maintenance exercise, system down time period maintenance from 6:30 am on Thursday, 28 May to 6:30 am on Saturday, 30 May 2026," read statement.
“We fully understand that this downtime may cause significant inconvenience to ongoing procurement activities, particularly for those preparing or submitting tenders. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disruption this may cause to your operations."

PRAZ warned that users may experience temporary inability to access the eGP System.
“To address this and ensure fairness to all bidders, all tenders originally scheduled to close during the affected period (28-30 May 2026) will be moved or extended to close on Tuesday June 2 2026," read the statement.
PRAZ added that this adjustment is intended to give all stakeholders adequate, uninterrupted time to complete and submit their tender documents, and to uphold the principles of transparency, equity, and equal opportunity.
“We deeply regret any inconvenience this essential maintenance may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding, patience, and cooperation as we work to improve the system for your benefit,” PRAZ said.
