HWANGE Central Member of Parliament, Daniel Molokele, was on Saturday arrested by police in Hwange while attending a Constituency Development Fund (CDF) project implementation committee meeting.
Molokele confirmed his arrest, saying police officers disrupted the meeting.
“Police in Hwange have just arrested me. They disrupted a CDF project implementation process committee,” he said.

“I tried to explain to them that this was not a public meeting, but they told me that they were under strict orders to stop the CDF project meeting.
“I am now in a police vehicle heading to the police station.”
The circumstances surrounding the arrest were not immediately clear, including the specific charges he may be facing.
