Chegutu–Alisha Mine, near Pickstone Mine
CHINHOYI, Dec. 16 (NewsDay Live) – Several artisanal miners have reportedly died after a mine collapse at Chegutu–Alisha Mine, near Pickstone Mine in Chegutu.
Sources say at least five bodies have been retrieved so far, with rescue and recovery operations still ongoing.
Chegutu District Development Coordinator, Mark Kadaira, confirmed the incident but said details remain sketchy as authorities continue to assess the situation.
