THE Zimbabwean embassy in the United Kingdom (UK) says it will extend its consular outreach programme to Scotland and Ireland this month to ease the burden for nationals who to travel to London for essential services.
The outreach initiative is supported by Diaspora Insurance, which continues its partnership with African embassies in the UK, now covering 25 nationalities.
The programme aims to make consular services more accessible to Zimbabweans living across the UK and Ireland.
According to a statement from Zimbabwe House in London, the first stop in Scotland will be Glasgow from October 13 to 14, followed by Dundee from October 15 to 16.
Services on offer include passport application, temporary travel documents, birth registration, name change due to marriage or divorce and police clearance applications.
After the Scotland leg, the outreach will move to Ireland, beginning with Belfast on October 27 and 28 and concluding in Dublin from October 29 to 31.
Diaspora Insurance entered a partnership with the embassy in July 2025, hosting a week-long outreach at its Birmingham headquarters, where hundreds of Zimbabweans were able to access consular services obviating the need to travel to London.
A company representative said: “We are pleased to support the Zimbabwean embassy’s consular services outreach programme.
