BULAWAYO South legislator Rajeshkumari Modi

BULAWAYO South legislator Rajeshkumari Modi has bounced back as the Industry and Commerce deputy minister in two appointments made by President Emmerson Mnanagagwa yesterday.

Mnangagwa also appointed Sleiman Kwidini as Health and Child Care deputy minister.

Secretary to the President and Cabinet Martin Rushwaya announced the appointments in a statement last night.Modi replaces Roy Bhila who was fired last month after serving for a short spell in the position.

The Bulawayo-based businessman had lost the post after he was trounced by Citizens Coalition for Change candidate Nicola Jane Watson who was later recalled by the opposition party’s self-proclaimed interim secretary-general Sengezo Tshabangu.

Kwidini is the legislator for Chiwundura constituency.
