BY PATRICIA SIBANDA CHARLESTON Primary School music teacher and songwriter Trevor Mwaaka says his latest Son of Africa release is a celebration of the African heritage.

Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Mwaaka said he had really been impressed by the positive response to his music and his latest song, the third of his discography, which is different from previous songs.

“My latest track Son of Africa has an Afro centric feel. It is a follow up to the two music videos That Colour My Dreams and Smile that features actors Sithandazile Dube and Zenzo Nyathi,” he said.

“The song Son of Africa is a celebration of our African heritage and it connects us to our African roots.”

Mwaaka said the song amassed more than 500 YouTube views just a day after its release, while expressing gratitude for the support of his parents and fellow teachers.
