ZIMBABWE’S leading female musicians, Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl and Nisha Ts, have promised an unforgettable experience at the Nubian Notes Concert at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) next month.
The November 8 event, themed Mambokadzi — The Rise of Her Sound, is a celebration of women in music, designed to amplify female voices and highlight women’s growing influence in the creative industry.
The concert is being presented by Gateway Stream Media, a subsidiary of the Rainbow Tourism Group, in collaboration with ZAR Events.
Speaking at a media briefing held on Thursday, the artistes, who were joined by ZAR Events representative Connie and Gateway Stream Media manager Elton Kurima, pledged to deliver more than entertainment, describing the concert as a movement that celebrates empowerment, artistry and unity among women.
The quartet expressed enthusiasm and purpose in its commitment to make the Nubian Notes Concert an unforgettable celebration of women’s creativity, strength and resilience.
The artiste assured fans that the event will not only showcase musical excellence but also affirm the power of the girl child and the evolving identity of women in Zimbabwe’s creative sector.
“For me, this concert is more than singing; it’s about reminding the world that our cultural voices have value and deserve to be heard globally,” Feli Nandi said.
Gemma Griffiths said women in music were not only entertainers but also innovators, entrepreneurs and social commentators.

Tamy Moyo assured fans of a powerful, high-energy set that would connect emotionally and spiritually with audiences, while Shashl, representing the younger generation of female artistes, said she was eager to deliver a futuristic sound that reflects how women are redefining the digital and creative economy.
Connie, speaking on behalf of ZAR Events, outlined the broader vision for Nubian Notes as an evolving movement to empower women in the arts. She called for greater participation from corporate partners, media houses and community organisations to sustain the initiative.
Radio personality Becky K will serve as one of the event’s emcees alongside KVG, while rising star DJ Yaya Good Vibes will be on the decks.
