UP-AND-COMING musicians Bright and Ryan Chipenzi yearn to make a positive impact on society with their music.Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style the two, who are brothers, said they started recording in 2019 on a temporary basis as they were focusing more on their studies at Midlands State University.
“Our music is centred on social experiences that most people have gone through and sometimes we relate with personal emotions and experiences. It differs with each song but in most cases, we seek to give advice, address drug abuse and also tackle mental health issues caused by romantic relationships,” Bright said.
He noted that since drug abuse remains an issue of concern among young people, their music will help to redeem a soul or two from the drug and substance abuse vice.
Bright added that their musical journey had not been easy because promoters and sponsors were hard to come by. However, the two believe that when the time comes, rewards for hard work will manifest.
The duo has since released songs such as Ndirikufara Ndarambwa, Remember Me and I Worry.
“Ndirikufara Ndarambwa is a song which addresses failed relationships and is a blessing in disguise in curbing suicides emanating from such relationships and I Worry is a very touching music video about children living on the streets commonly known as “street kids” which received airplay on local television station ZBCtv,” he said.
