The local premiership released the results of the monthly awards yesterday as Antipas’ striker at the Gamecock Brian Muza won the Player Of The Month accolade for February while William Manondo who is enjoying a new lease of life at CAPS United scooped the award for March.

BY COURAGE NYAYA Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas has been rewarded for a great start to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after he was voted Coach of the Month for February and March.

The local premiership released the results of the monthly awards as Antipas’ striker at the Gamecock Brian Muza won the Player Of The Month accolade for February while William Manondo who is enjoying a new lease of life at Caps United scooped the award for March.

Manondo has been a revelation for the Green Machine after joining the club from Harare City in January and is one of the league’s top scorers alongside Manica Diamonds’ Nyasha Chintuli with nine goals from 11 matches.

However, Antipas appears to be a surprise pick of best coach for the month after his side managed to win three games out of four and collected nine points from a possible 12.

Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya had a better record after his team won all the four matches that they played in month of month and was hugely expected to be voted the best.

Dembare beat Bulawayo Chiefs, Tenax, ZPC Kariba and Harare City while Antipas recorded wins against ZPC Kariba, Black Rhinos, Ngezi Platinum Stars and drew with Harare City.

Statistically Ndiraya had a better return and probably deserved the award after recording four wins of their four matches in March.

Manobdo proving his goal scoring prowess and since the beginning of the campaign he has been scoring for fun

the impressive forward has grabbed a hattrick once ,registered two braces and scored a single goal once.

He leads the goals charts ahead of Chicken Inn’s Muza as well as Manica Diamonds forward Nyasha Chintuli.
