BY TENDAI SAUTA RISING music outfit Rudzi the First have signaled their arrival into the world of music through their debut single Kutsvaga Dollar released recently.

The band is fronted by acoustic guitarist Bright Tawanda Grey and vocalist Dionne Tanaka Maregedze.

“The name Rudzi the First explains the way we do things and that we are a new generation that has created its own sound. We believe we can change the social, environmental standards of living of people through our music,” Grey told NewsDay Life & Style.

“The song Kutsvaga Dollar encourages people to keep on working hard without fear of the circumstances they are in. People must not be shy to work and get clean money.”

Grey said youths must not shun education for them to remain employable.

“We are working to release more music in due course. We are grateful to the support we are getting from the fans,” he said.
