Minerva pledges more support for women rugby

By Tanyaradzwa Nhari MINERVA Risk Advisors have pledged to continue supporting the national women’s Sevens rugby side following its success in the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup qualifying tournament in Lesotho recently.

The Lady Cheetahs won all of their four matches without conceding a try.

They qualified to the main group of the Africa Sevens Cup that will be held in Tunisia this April.

Their sponsors, Minerva were delighted by the success and promised to continue the journey with the Lady Cheetahs.

“As Minerva, we are excited to be part of their journey and we can’t wait for their next tournament and see how it goes.

“These are people who approached us two years ago for travel insurance and we then partnered and started sponsoring their kits,” Minerva Risk Advisors spokesperson Freida Chapfika said.

Zimbabwe contested against the hosts, Botswana, Mauritius and Namibia.

The Lady Cheetahs beat Lesotho 62-0, Namibia 39-0, Botswana 39-0 and Mauritius 20-0.
