POLICE in Marondera, Mashonaland East province, have launched investigations into a case where a woman was mysteriously burnt beyond recognition in her room in Dombotombo high-density suburb on Friday last week.
Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Simon Chazovachi confirmed the incident.
“We can confirm that a woman, who could be in her early 40s, was burnt beyond recognition in Dombotombo high-density suburb and the cause of the fire is not yet known,” he said.
According to police, the room caught fire at around 2am on Friday.
