PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday appointed Chirumhanzu South legislator Barbra Rwodzi as the new Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry deputy minister with immediate effect.

BY MIRIAM MANGWAYA PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday appointed Chirumhanzu South legislator Barbra Rwodzi as the new Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry deputy minister with immediate effect.

The ministry did not have a deputy minister prior to Rwodzi’s appointment.

“In terms of section 104(2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe (Amendment No 20) of 2013, His Excellency the President Comrade ED Mnangagwa has made the following appointment, Honourable Barbra Rwodzi, Member of Parliament for Chirumhanzu Midlands province, as deputy minister for Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality,” Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Misheck Sibanda, said in a statement yesterday.

“Honourable Rwodzi is a holder of Masters of Business Administration degree and an Honours degree in Business Studies. She is a successful businesswoman who owns a number of companies with interests in energy solutions, financial services, clothing and community development projects.”
