YADAH FC coach Genesis Mangombe is looking optimistic of finally getting one over ZPC Kariba when the two sides collide in a league match at Baobab Stadium in Mhondoro this afternoon.

ZPC Kariba completed a double over their opponents in the Chibuku Super Cup tournament, but Yadah are hoping to turn the tables this time around.

Mangombe noted that his side just needed to exploit opportunities that came their way.

“We have been playing ZPC Kariba and the clash on Saturday (today) will be the third one this year. We lost both of the games we played against them, but in terms of possession and everything, maybe we are better than the opponent, but we failed to capitalise. So, yes we respect them, they have got maturity and their squad is dependable, but now we want to turn the tables. We just want to rectify our mistakes and make sure that we increase our concentration level so that we don’t concede silly goals,” he said.

“I’m just praying for luck because ball speed, transitions and everything is coming up well. The teamwork, combination play and building from the back have been OK. There is a better understanding of our system now. So I’m happy with the squad and everyone is geared to go.”

Mangombe stressed that his side had put more effort on areas they felt could make today’s game different while maintaining their game plan.

“We have been doing concentration at training and we want to use this as our weapon to snatch a win in this game,” he said.

“These guys were actually cracking my head because it was a difficult time in selecting the final squad to be in camp for this duty, so I hope if all goes well with the fitness we have, we are going to grind good results in this match.

“I don’t have any challenges at the moment, but I can see that I have a lot of positives rather than negatives. Of course, players can do anything at any given time. Today, they might be doing well, and tomorrow might have changed, but according to the type of play we want and everything, we are spot on and the positives are there. The team has got the touch now.”
