POLICE have arrested two daring thieves who broke into their canteen at Drill Hall in Bulawayo and stole cash and groceries, including 18kg of meat.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Abednico Ncube yesterday confirmed the arrest of Leroy Musiiwa (21) from Emakhandeni and Collen Charlie (23) of Makokoba for unlawful entry and theft.

He said they stole property and cash valued at US$230, R750 and $12 000.

The thieves broke a window at night on August 12 to gain entry into the canteen.

The theft was discovered the following day and investigations led to the arrest of the pair at their places of residence.
