Worse, Arsenal lost one of their best creative players in Martin Odegaard, whose loan from Real Madrid expired, while Dani Ceballos, who was also on loan from Real has already left. It leaves the Gunners really short on the attacking front, but the club hierarchy elected to just focus of defence, despite being among the best defensive teams last season.

For two years now, Arsenal have been linked with French international Houssem Aouar and they are set to miss out again. More recently, they were linked with Emiliano Buendia from Norwich but missed out. They’ve been linked with Inter’s Lautaro Martinez, but Tottenham seems more likely to land the forward. Arsenal have been linked with James Maddison and that too doesn’t look promising.

All this, as the team is really screaming for additions in attack. Well some creative midfielder’s addition would have worked as well, but the window for that seems to be shut for now, and it is going to be the same problems for Arsenal.

At the close of last season, it was crystal clear, Arsenal needed investment in attack, but as the new season approaches, the club hasn’t made any attacking signings, and none seems to be in the pipeline. Most bookmakers have tipped Arsenal to struggle again and while at it, there are ready incentives in form of bookies sign up offers as reviewed by Wincomparator experts. Among these, come a €130 bonus at 1XBet and up to €1000 Casino bonus at Bet-at-home. 22Bet also have an enticing offer of up to €122 to match the value of a first deposit and BVetsson has one of up to €125.

Meanwhile, Alexander Lacazette enters the final year of his contract and not much consideration is being put in that, at least publicly and their top scorer last season may be glad to see out his deal and walk. The Frenchman has all the motivation to fight for another good season and up his value in the market, with the possibility of leaving on a Bossman.

Fact is Arsenal have dragged their feet in addressing issues that bedeviled them in the past seasons and the lack of additions in attack is more glaring than the fact they have deadwood at the team across all departments.
