ZIFA has received yet another reprieve from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) as the National Sports Stadium (NSS) has been provisionally approved to host World Cup qualifiers due in September and October.

ZIFA has received yet another reprieve from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) as the National Sports Stadium (NSS) has been provisionally approved to host World Cup qualifiers due in September and October.

The national football confirmed the development on Twitter.

“National Sports Stadium has been temporarily approved to host upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Caf has encouraged Zimbabwe to address outstanding issues on pitch condition, sanitary facilities, access controls,” Zifa said.

Caf said will Zifa will be sanctioned if any breaches at the NSS are found during the World Cup qualifiers.

The Warriors host South Africa’s Bafana Bafana at the NSS in September.
