A BULAWAYO-BASED virtual movement show that supports local artists, Kasi TV, has extended a begging bowl to well-wishers to promote up-and-coming artistes in its endeavour to fulfil their dreams.

Kasi TV specialises in promoting up-and-coming local artistes in different music genres with the aim of providing a platform for recognition both locally and internationally.

Kasi TV co-founder Edwin “Blaq Hearts” told NewsDay Life & Style that they sought to uplift and market local talents across genres.

“We have come up with this idea to market the talent we have in the suburbs, including music, dancing, acting and fashion design virtually as many have been affected by this COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

“The idea is to connect them with their fans since live shows are banned and due to financial constrains, up-and-coming artists are struggling so we teamed up with Blue Master the owner of Bluz Records Entertainment and created local virtual shows for those who wish and cannot afford to be on some big platforms like Nash TV and Zim Celeb.”

Blaq Hearts said they were yet to promote an artiste as they were still working on the first season of the show.

“We are struggling to raise money because we don’t have any promoter, sponsors or someone helping us financially. We are not selective on genres when it comes to music, we support any type of music and give opportunity to those who are bringing new stuff in the art industry,” he said.

“For the periphery up-and-coming artists, we would have found, we offer them free studio sessions for the support they gave us.”
