BULAWAYO-BASED Afro-pop singer and dancer Mzobanzi “Mzoe7” Mlauzi has collaborated with house and Amapiano musician Thembinkosi “Master Zhoe” Zhou in a song titled Makhelwane set for release next month.
Mzoe7 told Newsday Life &Style that he has started working with other artistes across genres to promote the spirit of oneness.
“I am dropping a new song with Master Zhoe called Makhelwane. Master Zhoe did Makoti song alone so as a choreographer I am there to help in the dance challenge as we promote the spirit of working together as artistes and giving something to dancers,” he said.
“The track Makhelwane that will have an accompanying video depicts love amongst people living in one community and sharing similar cultures. We have Percy and Drums on the production and the song is about loving one another as brothers and sisters, especially our neighbours.”
Master Zhoe’s manager Marateoa Sidange who urged fans to keep their ears open for the upcoming song said collaborating with Mzoe7 was a desire.
“Mzoe7 is an old friend and we are like brothers. We work together on many projects so one day we were talking about love amongst people and we both liked the idea and decided to do a song,” he said.
“Working with Mzoe7 on this project is a great pleasure. Let’s practise love amongst each other as we wait for an amazing piece of motivation from Master Zhoe and Mzoe7.” ENDS
