BULAWAYO-BASED filmmaker, Fourmen Films, is set to premiere its first teenage series titled Who Killed Natalia, end of July.

The series is based on how society views teenagehood.

Fourmen Films director Winston Mudonhi told NewsDay Life & Style that the series, to be premiered on June 31, revolved around the story of a girl who died mysteriously at a vuzu party.

“The production is an educational thriller and suspense teenage series which is entirely based on how society views what happens during teenagehood nowadays. A can of worms is opened as police dig deeper into the untold story of Natalia,” he said.

“We have not produced anything yet, we are just starting our first production that is centred on a group of teenagers who go to a vuzu party and during the festivities, one of them is found dead in the bathtub. Detectives will be fascinated by the findings as everybody at the party is treated like a murder suspect.”

Mudonhi said they were optimistic that they would contribute more in the local film industry.

“With this production, we hope that will improve the quality of competition in the industry and also help with employment especially to the youth,” he said.

“We hope to spice up the sector with content that is not common with our local producers and  market Zimbabwean talent at an international level.”

Mudonhi said the series would be available on YouTube, Netflix application, Telone movie application, theatres and movie houses.
