GOSPEL musician Charles Zibhowa of Mugodhi Apostolic Church and the Anointed Ambassadors is set to release his sixth album, Rock of Edges, next month.

The album was produced by Lyton and Brian Ngolomi at Lyt-On Studios.

Zibhowa told NewsDay Life & Style that the primary message was for people to focus on God as the country goes through difficult times.

“Rock of Edges tells people that there is no permanent situation on earth. Jesus is the only one who challenged death and will always be there. When we look at our economy, people might think that the situation is out of hand, but God in heaven has a solution for us. He will always have a way forward and will never let us down,” Zibhowa said.

He said the eight-track album features Mutare-based singer Hosiah Chipanga and Kubatakwashe Choral group on the songs Muri Mwari and Munotida, respectively.

“The album is already done. We are only waiting for Chipanga’s part on the song, Muri Mwari, which he will do soon when he comes to Harare,” he said.

Zibhowa joined the music industry in 2014 and has five albums, which include Tinotenda Nyasha, Simba RaMwari, Jesu Makanaka, Mwari Havasekwe and Victory Yedenga.

He worked with Bethen Pasinawako-Ngolomi and Kudzi Nyakudya before he went solo.
