LOCAL author, motivational speaker and television personality Blessmore Mandevhana is set to establish a college, Beyond Today Academy, which will offer both practical and theoretical lessons on public speaking, writing skills for authors and entrepreneurial studies.

Classes are set to commence in Harare next month.
Mandevana told NewsDay Life & Style yesterday that enrolment is currently underway, adding that the school would offer both theory and practical subjects in order to accommodate everyone.
“The academy will accommodate corporates, schools, churches and individuals. It will be an environment of learning and will not be strictly confined to the physical school or college,” he said.
“The academy will be a full growth and development enfoldment of human potential, which will include businesses and leadership gurus.”
Mandevana said through this project, he wanted to reduce the gap which the Primary and Secondary Education ministry had failed to minimise.
“I wish to see young people live their dreams at a tender age. Unlike to be taught at a later age, people should learn while they are still young. I was inspired by John Maxwell who said ‘leadership is not for you, but for others’, so the academy aims to groom others,” he said.

Mandevana said classes would be conducted during the week, adding that they would work together with Elite College, which offers classes from Form 1 to A-Level.
