Mandla, a perennial TM Bonanza winner, won $5 000 while his son walked away $10 000 richer.

Mandla was quick to dispel rumours that he used juju in order to win, saying people should enter these promotions in order to win.

“I don’t use juju, I owe it the Almighty, it’s not what people are saying that I use juju; one has to enter a competition in order to win. My family members enter every competition with the hope that they will win something,” said Mandla.

In 2016, Mandla won $5 000 and last year he won a refrigerator from the same competition, at TM Chinhoyi.

Mandla said he has also won Delta and OK stores competitions.

“My secret is that I enter different promotions. This year, I have already scooped prizes at Nestle Zimbabwe ($50 vouchers) and Delta ($200). If you sow maize, you will reap maize and not tobacco,” he said.

Mandla, who bought a residential stand from the $5 000 he won in 2016, said he was going to develop the stand with this windfall.
